| A streaming trailer
of your film or video on your E-store gives potential
customers a chance to see what they’re getting,
and makes them much more likely to purchase.
It’s also a great promotion
vehicle to impress any non-paying audiences that you
may be targeting.
In other words, although it’s
an optional feature, we strongly recommend that you
take advantage of a streaming trailer to maximize your
marketing opportunities – especially since it’s
so convenient and affordable.
Setting it up is simple and convenient.
You have two choices:
- A trailer created by EntertainOne,
featuring the first 60 seconds of your video, OR
- A customized trailer, edited
by you and submitted to us for online display
We strongly recommend the second
option – ie a trailer that you edit yourself –
since this allows you to specifically craft a preview
that shows your video to its best advantage. This way
it can become a highly effective ad for your product.
Editing your
own trailer
An effective trailer takes lengthy
material and condenses it to a 60-second piece of compelling
footage that reflects the most enticing aspect of your
video. For example, a movie or show trailer might feature
visually impressive moments that display high-action
and/or high emotion, comedy or suspense. But don’t
give away the ending!
For a training video, you might
want to edit a piece that is highly informative and
user-friendly.
For a community or school event
fund-raiser, you might want to go out your way to edit
in as many different children or local figures as possible.
Technical editing guidelines:
- For best compression, use hard
cuts rather than cross-fades/dissolves.
- Keep text at a readable size.
Remember that it too will be compressed!
Technical compression guidelines:
- For best results, use a dedicated
compression tool
- Variable bitrate video (VBR)
is recommended
- Avoid the outside edges of your
video showing on a computer monitor: crop these off
– typically about 8-10 pixels off all sides
- Use deinterlacing

guidelines yourself, please contact

direction.
